Male Fertility Services

Male fertility is a fundamental component in the reproductive stage and plays a crucial role in achieving pregnancy. At our clinic, we understand that a man's reproductive health can be affected by various factors, including medical conditions, lifestyle, and environmental factors. Therefore, we offer a comprehensive range of services designed to assess and enhance male fertility.

Male fertility is a fundamental aspect of the reproductive journey. Our male fertility services include comprehensive assessments of sperm quality, hormonal balance, and reproductive health. We offer personalized solutions to address potential challenges and enhance male fertility.

Semen Quality Evaluation

Our primary focus is to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of semen quality. This includes assessing various parameters, such as sperm concentration, motility, morphology, and vitality. These factors are essential in determining sperm health and its ability to fertilize an egg.

We believe that semen analysis is an essential first step in assessing male fertility and understanding potential challenges in conception. By analyzing these various parameters, we can gain valuable insights into the male reproductive system and tailor treatment plans to address specific issues. If abnormalities are identified, we will recommend additional diagnostic tests and targeted treatments to improve fertility outcomes.

Comprehensive Reproductive Health

We recognize that reproductive health encompasses more than just sperm quality. Therefore, we offer:

  • Detailed Medical History: We gather information about medical history, lifestyle, and environmental factors that may influence fertility. This helps us create a comprehensive and personalized profile.

  • General Health Assessments: We conduct laboratory tests to identify underlying medical conditions, such as infections, genetic issues, or chronic diseases that could affect fertility.

These procedures are often used in cases with fertility issues, such as low sperm count, obstructive azoospermia, or other conditions that affect sperm production or transport:

Sperm Retrieval

Between 10% and 15% of infertile men have no sperm in their ejaculate (the fluid released from the penis during orgasm).

  • TESA (Testicular Sperm Aspiration):

TESA is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to retrieve sperm directly from the testicles. It's typically performed when the male partner has obstructive azoospermia, a condition where sperm are produced but are unable to reach the ejaculate due to blockages in the reproductive tract.

During TESA, a small needle is inserted into the testicle under local anesthesia and a small sample of tissue is aspirated. The sample is then examined under a microscope to isolate and collect viable sperm. The recovered sperm can be used for various assisted reproduction techniques, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), to facilitate fertilization.

  • MESA (Microsurgical Epididymal Sperm Aspiration):

MESA is a microsurgical procedure used to retrieve sperm from the epididymis, a structure located on the back of the testicle where sperm mature and are stored. Is typically performed in cases of obstructive azoospermia, similar to TESA, where there is a blockage preventing sperm from reaching the ejaculate.

Unlike TESA, which retrieves sperm directly from the testicle, MESA involves the use of a surgical microscope to precisely locate and dissect the epididymal tubules, from which sperm are aspirated. Sperm recovered from MESA can also be used for IVF or ICSI to assist with fertilization.

Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)

ICSI is a highly specialized form of in vitro fertilization (IVF) that involves the direct injection of a single sperm into the egg, facilitating fertilization. This technique is particularly beneficial for couples facing infertility due to male factors, where sperm quality or quantity may be a concern. Whether to overcome issues related to motility, morphology, or previous IVF challenges, ICSI provides a precise method to address male infertility factors.
