Information: Dr. Fernando Rodriguez serves as Senior Andrologist and Laboratory Director at our clinic, bringing over 40 years of specialized experience in andrology and embryology. Dr. Rodriguez is highly esteemed for his extensive knowledge in male reproductive health and laboratory management, contributing to the clinic's high standards of care and success rates.

 

Educational Background:

His academic background includes a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, and a doctorate in Animal Sciences, all postgraduate degrees with a specialization in reproductive physiology. He also completed four years of postdoctoral training at the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), a division of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA-ARS).

 

Professional experience:

His professional career spans over 30 years of consulting experience in both short-term and long-term projects in educational and private sectors in the U.S., Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Barbados (USDA-AID), and Puerto Rico. Responsibilities included evaluating management and providing advanced procedural training for laboratory staff, technical support, as well as implementing protocols and testing procedures for Andrology and Embryology laboratories.

 

Clinical and laboratory experience:

Dr. Rodriguez specializes in a wide range of andrology services, including semen analysis, sperm cryopreservation, and sperm function testing. His expertise extends to embryology, where he has significant experience in in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and embryo culture. He is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice and is known for his meticulous attention to detail and commitment to patient care.

 

Research and publications:

In addition to having been published several times over the last 35 years, Fernando has to his credit multiple postgraduate lectures and appointments as Professor and Director of the Department of Physiology at the San Juan Bautista School of Medicine (SJBSM), in Puerto Rico, as well as President of the IRB of this institution and coordinating research activities for students and professors.
